A well done makeup for eyes depends on the way we highlight our eyes. We come with a mini-color guide and ideas in order to enhance the natural beauty of your eye. What colors do we choose? If your eyes are brown the you can choose almost any shade you want. If you have circles under the eyes or other skin imperfections, then, very light or very loud shades will point them out,so don`t use them. If your eyes are green, then gold, pink, lavender, red and orange are the shades which highlight best your eye color. Blue eyed persons have to avoid blue. Instead, it is recommended warm brown shades, even old, peach, bright pink. Black eyes are highlighted best with navy blue, grey, dark lavender, black.
What makeup do we use for each shape of eyes?
If you have turned down eyes, your makeup will help you visually lift the outer corners of your eyes. All you have to do is apply shades and eyeliner on the eye lids and extend beyond the edge, enough to lengthen your eye shape. Use a darker shade for the outside corner of the eye.
If you have hooded lids, you can play with colors, using a dark one and a light one. Apply the light shade on the outside corner of the eye and the dark shade on the inside corner. For small eyes, the eyeliner
is a must have. Apply eyeliner on both the outside contour of the eye,as well as on the inside contour. This will make your eyes look bigger. Choose light tones when applying eye shadow. Perfect would be to use two shades, starting from the lashes with the darker one,and finishing up to the brows with the lighter one.
If you have big eyes, try not to enhance them more through makeup. Very light tones and shimmering tones have to be avoided and mascara has to be applied only on the upper lashes. For close-set eyes, lighter tones must be used on the inner corner of the eye the outside corner will be enhanced through darker tones. Begin lining the eye at the inner corner extending a touch beyond the outer edge.
For wide set eyes, the inner corner of the eye must be emphasized. Dark tones shall be used in this area and light tones in the outside corner. Create a descending effect, blending the two shades in the center areas of the lid.
For round eyes you must create a lengthening effect. Apply eye shadow on the lids and a little beyond the outside corner of the eye. Always remember that, light shades will enhance and emphasize, and the dark ones will dim and reduce. This is the basic rule when choosing eye makeup (and not only).
