Natural masks for all type of skins
Your complexion, more than any parts of your body, is exposed daily to environmental factors to which is cannot adapt constantly. Therefore it needs an especial care but this doesn’t mean to test on it a lot of products to find out which is perfect for it.
From time to time, your skin needs a complete upgrade, thus to feel the difference between a natural cosmetic treatment and one from the “lab”, enriched with many chemicals. Follow some simple steps to invigorate your skin with masks made home by yourself.
As organic makeup has the magnificent quality to penetrate your skin without harm it, “homemade” masks, created of 100% natural components, may be a great solution to purify your complexion and to fix all its problems.
Do not forget that your skin absorbs every day the substances with which you “feed” it and you usually use beauty products that have chemical compounds, even if you believe that are natural. I will write you below some steps to follow before applying a “homemade” mask:
1. Clean very well your skin with a calming lotion
2. Dry skin needs a hydrating cream before using the mask
3. The mask has to be applied over your entire complexion, except the lips and eye areas
4. Avoid using makeup products 2 – 3 hours before applying the mask
Masks for oily skin
This type of complexion is liable to acne and blackheads. The masks you use have to clean very well your skin and to hydrate it in the same time.
Variant no. 1
- 1 mellow banana
- 1 spoon of honey
- 1 orange or one lemon
Preparation: mix the banana with the honey until you obtain a paste and then you pour a few drops of orange or lime. Apply it on your skin and wait 15 minutes before wash it up with a towel soaked in warm water.
Variant no. 2
- ½ spoon of lemon juice
- An egg- white
- 1 ½ spoon of honey
- 1 cup of strawberries
- Optional: 2 drops of aromatic oil
Preparation: mix all the above ingredients, spread it on your face, wait 10 minutes and then rinse your face with warm water.
Mask for mix skin
This type of skin is the most capricious of all types, because it includes dry, sensitive and oily areas. The so called T zone (forehead, nose and chin) tends to become oily, while other zones remain dry.
Ingredients for a mask:
- 2 spoons of rose water
- 1 spoon of natural yogurt (room temperature)
- 1 spoon of liquid honey
- Optional: 6 petals of rose
Preparation: let the petals to dry, and then grind it into a bowl. Add some rose water, yogurt and honey. Mix them well and apply the mask on your skin. Wait ten minutes before rinsing.
Mask for sensitive skin (irritable)
Sensitive skin needs special care, because it develops allergies to some products. The skin is easily irritable and the usage of aggressive products is not advised, but only natural cosmetics, in small quantities.
Ingredients for a mask:
- 1 cup of natural and cold yogurt
- ½ cup of oat flour
Preparation: mix the two ingredients and spread it on your face. Wait for about 10 – 15 minutes and clean off with a towel soaked in warm water.
Notice: the oatmeal may be mixed with the egg- white of instead of yogurt.
Mask for dry skin
This type of skin is prone to wrinkles, after a certain age. Because of this is needs in intensive hydration.
