Your makeup studio

To have a makeup studio near your mirror you need space, drawers, a set of brushes and of course..the products.
You can keep the different makeup products, separated in or little bags suited for each type of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or you can put away the special makeup products that you don`t use daily (evening makeup or the dramatic effect ones)
Makeup products can leak so dont ignore this aspect and be cautious when choosing bags or compartments for your makeup.

Brushes and more brushes

Your makeup tools should be kept separated and cleaned often to avoid eruptions and rushes that could appear on your skin. So invest in a special brush bag.

You have to buy high quality brushes from specialized shops. But be careful they have to be natural hair.

Choose professional brushes instead of the ones offered by makeup kits which do not offer a better covering and cannot be cleaned very well.

Sponges and brushes must be wash with antibacterial soap after each usage.

Natural hair brushes are special made for powder products and because artificial brushes do not assimilate the liquids when using liquid or creamy products use artificial brushes.

-for blush: do not use the brush given by the kit because is too small and you will get stripes on your face, so choose a bigger brush, which could cover your cheeks

-for defining your eyes: choose between a delicate brush or a hard tip brush

-for powder: choose a very big brush to get perfect finish of your makeup

-for eyebrows: use a double tool for brushing the eyebrows and for arranging them

-for applying eye shadow you need at least two brushes: a wide brush used for enlightening the eyes and a narrow one for your eyelid

Hygiene and health:
Do not borrow makeup products because you can get different diseases or irritations.

Do not keep makeup products too long because bacteria can develop, causing irritations. Examples of makeup products expiring date:

-six months for: mascara, liquid eye base, eyeliner, creamy eyeshadow, any other creamy and liquid product, powders and blushes.

-as long as it is needed: pressed powder, powder blush, pressed eye shadow.

Do not forget to sharpen your eye pencils and keep their hygiene with alcohol.

And for a perfect keeping of hygiene it is recommended first to shake off the makeup of the hair brushes and then cleaning them with makeup remover, shampoo or antibacterial soap and then washing them with warm water. Cleaning them must happen at least twice a week.

With a clean and well arranged makeup kit you just have to put on your best makeup and look fabulous!
